Passing Criteria

Student should have below mentioned scores in each of the categories listed below to be promoted to the next grade:

  • Attendance: 70%.
  • Home Work/Assessments: 70 %.
  • Test Scores: 60 %.


    • Test Scores

    There will be two Mid-Terms and one Final Exam.
    At the end of each term, students will take an exam which includes Written and/or Oral test.

    Final score for passing will be based on below weightages:

  • First Mid-Term: 25 %.
  • Second Mid-Term: 25 %.
  • Final Exam: 50 %.

    • A minimum score of 60% mark (homework + Exam) is required to pass to next level/nilai.

    Attendance

  • Minimum of 70% attendance is required to promote to the next level/nilai.
  • Parents should notify the school in advance if their child will be absent for the class.
  • Notify via reachus@sangamamtamilschool.org AND in the students class WhatsApp group.
  • Students are expected to be in the class, at least 5 minutes before class start time.


    • Homework / Assessments

    • Students will be accessed on 4 different categories
    • Categories can be defined by each teacher. Example: Reading, Writing,
    • Comprehension, Essay
    • At the end of each quarter, teachers will provide grades based on the above categories
    • Sum of grades from three quarters will be used to calculate final grade
